Publisher Aiming and Studio Team Caravan have officially announced The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes, the first console game based on the hit series and animated series Shadow Rising! (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!). The project will be released on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. Western publisher will be NIS America, with Clouded Leopard Entertainment handling Asia.
This is a single-player 3D action game with roguelite elements. Character abilities randomly improve with each run, allowing players to create unique builds for different fighting styles and fight challenging opponents. The author of the original light novel, Daisuke Aizawa, personally supervised the original script and co-created it with Kadokawa Publishing House. There are no details yet on the game’s plot, but apparently, we won’t be fighting for Shadow, but for his charges.
