Launched Oukitel RG14-P rugged laptop with solar battery

Oukitel showcased the RG14-P laptop model at IFA 2026 in Berlin, which features an IP69K rating and a replaceable solar panel. The computer weighs approximately 3.7 kg.

Chinese electronics manufacturer Oukitel has launched the RG14-P laptop, which is not only extremely durable but also rechargeable via solar cells, which the company says can generate up to 15 W of electricity. This is enough to charge the 95 Wh battery from 0 to 50 percent in about six hours. The battery consists of a built-in unit with a capacity of 3000mAh and a removable unit with a capacity of 5200mAh, allowing you to quickly replace the battery.

The Oukitel RG14-P laptop features a 14.1-inch touch screen with up to 1000 cd/m² brightness, a 14th generation Intel Core-i7 processor, a webcam that can be oriented forward or backward, an NFC module, a fingerprint scanner and a set of ports including HDMI and Ethernet. The weight of the computer (3.7 kg) can cause some discomfort. The Oukitel RG14-P model features protection to IP69K standards, meaning it is completely sealed and protected against dust and water – it can even withstand cleaning with a water jet. Oukitel has not yet specified how much the laptop will cost or when it will go on sale.
