DLSS 5 was officially unveiled today, but only in one game so far – NBA2K27. This technology is supported by GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards. Nvidia has confirmed that it plans to implement official support for DLSS 5 on GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards in the future.

DLSS 5 integration requires developer support. The same “NBA2K27” uses 3D guided neural rendering technology, which uses neural networks to change the lighting and appearance of objects based on game engine data, including geometry, texture, lighting and motion information. In NBA 2K27, Nvidia and Visual Concepts leveraged technology to deliver more realistic subsurface light scattering on skin, hair lighting, and contact shadows while maintaining original player geometry.

The new GeForce Game Ready 616.64 WHQL driver does not fix any existing issues reported in previous Nvidia software releases. Among the known issues, the company highlighted a bug in the graphics card’s power management settings where the “Prefer Maximum Performance Mode” option might not be applied correctly. Additionally, the browser may occasionally flicker when navigating on some websites.

You can download the GeForce Game Ready 616.64 WHQL driver through the Nvidia App, or From Nvidia official website.
