Summer is over in Sweden and post-launch support for Thunder at our Gates is coming to an end. The developers of Hearts of Iron IV have decided on their plans and are expected to release patch 1.19.3 on September 17th.
The update will add a secret branch for Australia, as well as new end-game content for Siam and Indonesia. In addition, the developers will make some changes based on the public beta, fix bugs and balance the work. However, the team will continue to analyze test results to make additional adjustments for future updates, including military requirements.
Meanwhile, developers have announced delays to the next major expansion. The reason is simple – it takes more time for the team to achieve the required quality. For now, fans are invited to follow developers across Romania, who promise to start releasing full-fledged diaries earlier than usual, possibly after the Romania expansion pack is released.
Another major focus is on the usability of the game: the team is preparing updates designed to reduce the number of clicks and ease the burden on players. It will be showcased live and is scheduled to be released before the next expansion pass. Separately, the fate of the Hearts of Iron board game remains uncertain as the developer continues to crack down on cheaters – talks are currently underway on a possible resolution to the project.
