Pocketpair Studio, famous for the game Palworld, announced that the multiplayer open world project Craftopia will exit early access and receive version 1.0 in 2027. The game entered Steam Early Access on September 4, 2020, and will be released on July 4, 2021 on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC (via the Microsoft Store). Over the course of six years, the developers significantly expanded the adventure and added a large amount of content and various game systems.

The 2027 release will be exclusively on Xbox Series X | S and PC. The developers have stopped developing the Xbox One version due to performance and stability issues. Pocketpair apologized to Xbox One users and noted that the decision was not an easy one for the team. At the same time, the studio said it was able to solve the technical problems that have long hindered the full development of the console version, and is now preparing to release Craftopia 1.0 on Xbox Series X | The S version will be released simultaneously with the PC version in 2027.

With version 1.0 approaching, Craftopia’s authors have decided not to focus on adding as much new content as possible, but instead to focus on improving the existing gameplay experience. The team is fixing accumulated problems, improving the technical status and polishing the project as a whole. At the same time, new content will appear with version 1.0, and the developers will reveal the specific details later.

Pocketpair also admitted that after the success of Palworld, there was insufficient communication with players on Craftopia, which led some users to feel that the project had been abandoned or received less attention. According to a Pocketpair representative, the company’s growth has allowed it to allocate additional resources to address Craftopia’s technical issues and prepare for a full launch.
