Digital Extremes has announced the release date for Warframe’s next major update, Frostblade of Narin. The update will be released on all platforms on September 23, 2026, and will add a 66th Warframe named Narin, a new mode for six-player squads, new locations, enemies, and more.
The updated story takes players back to the wreckage of Zariman’s ship to tell the forgotten story of Narin. The new female Warframe is ice-themed, with a set of abilities based on enemy control and the combination of swords and ice. She can wield a double-jointed bow and twin Axondol ice pistols as her signature weapons.
The game will also introduce a new mode, “Icy Challenge,” for up to six players. The tasks will be performed at an already familiar level, but with additional testing and variations in conditions. After completing the mission, the team will travel to Melika’s lab, where they can claim the rewards they earned.
The opening of Melika’s lab will also impact Zariman’s future missions. A new opponent will begin to appear among them – the Entropic Eximus, from whom the Entropic Kuva resource can be obtained. Update-related items must be exchanged with Cephalon Melika.
On October 15th, Operation Era: “Tau Road” is about to begin. This large-scale limited-time event will bring together players from around the world to prepare for the upcoming Tau system in the next chapter of Warframe. To participate in the Prologue, you must complete the missions “Six” and “Old World,” after which the mini-mission “Tau Prologue” will appear, which continues the events of “Old World” and reveals Lotus’ new memories.
In addition to this, Banshee’s abilities will receive significant adjustments, with expanded combat capabilities and greater variability. From September 23rd to October 7th, you can use it for free by logging in to the game.
