CD Projekt’s financial report for the first half of 2026 showed impressive performance: the company’s revenue reached PLN 435 million (a year-on-year increase of 23%), and net profit increased by 37% to PLN 249 million. The main driving factors are the continued sales of “Cyberpunk 2077”, with total sales exceeding 40 million copies, and the explosive growth of IP licensing revenue, which has increased nearly tenfold.
The company is actively investing in the future, investing more than PLN 1.5 billion in the development of new projects. Currently, CD Projekt has 1,045 employees, more than half (519) of whom are working on the ambitious “The Witcher 4” project, while the “Cyberpunk” sequel team has expanded to 184 developers. The company’s liquid reserves are estimated at PLN 1.3 billion, providing a stable financial cushion against a busy launch schedule.
The next few years are going to be very busy at the studio. A massive remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been released on September 29, 2026, featuring graphical improvements and a Nintendo Switch 2 version, which owners of the original game will receive for free along with additional content. The third story add-on content “Song of the Past” is scheduled to be released in 2027 and is comparable in scale to “Blood and Wine”. “The Witcher 4” is scheduled to be released in 2028, starting a new saga. Meanwhile, cyberpunk fans can look forward to the second season of the animated series “Edgerunners” premiering on Netflix on October 20, 2026.
As for the new IP, there’s not much to say. Initiatives like Project Hadar are still in the early conceptual stages.
