Despite radio silence, the yet-to-be-officially-announced Venom game is apparently still in development at Insomniac Games.
In the second installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man , Insomniac Games introduced Venom to the video game series – and the character will apparently go on to get his own game. This rumor has been circulating several times, but we’re still waiting for an official announcement.
While there hasn’t been any solid speculation about Marvel’s Venom for a while, the title is said to still be in the works behind the scenes. Famous video game industry insider NateTheHate reported on this. However, he doesn’t yet know when the game will be officially announced.
At last check, Venom is still in development. As for when it will be announced, I don’t know.

There are already rumors that the project will be halted following the death of Tony Todd, the voice actor for the game character. Miles Morales’ spokesperson suggested ending the project – but according to NateTheHate, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
For now, Insomniac Games will focus on the successful launch of Marvel’s Wolverine, which will be available on September 15, 2026. Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is also reportedly in the works, so Insomniac’s Marvel game still seems exciting.
