Russian studio Funky Parrot has released the roguelike action game “Pirate’s Curse”, which has been in early access since April this year. The game is available for purchase on PC through the service steam 372 rubles, taking into account the 20% starting discount.
This release also comes with the release of major update 1.0, which brings a new team member to the game: Zephyr, the interdimensional parrot. He masters the power of wind and can summon powerful tornadoes to help deal with opponents in naval battles. Players also have access to five ships, each with unique characteristics and abilities. As you progress and defeat bosses, new transportation options will appear. Additionally, five new enemy types and three final bosses have been added. By community request, meta progression was restored, allowing spaceships to be strengthened after each swim.
Pirate’s Curse is a pirate action rogue-like game that combines the endless enemy survival mechanics of Vampire Survivor with the deep story-based interactions in the spirit of Hades. Players take on the role of an ambitious small boat captain seeking the title of Pirate King through battles with sea monsters, ghosts, and rival factions. The clearance process is divided into multiple chapters, and at the end you will fight a large boss.
A feature of the program is assembling a team of unique characters, such as Ghost Captain or Abyssal Cultist, each integrating their own abilities into the overall combat strategy. Game mechanics let you create hundreds of skill combinations, adapting your fighting style to changing conditions. By finding the treasure map, players can not only find resources, but they can also affect the arena landscape by adding or removing obstacles. This atmosphere also incorporates elements of pirate life, including sea songs that lift the spirits of your crew, and a system for interacting with colorful companions whose personal stories are revealed as you progress through the campaign.
