After five years of early access, the survival simulator “Valheim” has now officially released version 1.0. The update brings the final snow biome of the Deep North to the game, two new dungeons, something that rides a moose, unique opponents, and even the ability to tame trolls and harvest resources from them.

According to art director Robin Eyre and producer Andreas Tomasson, version 1.0 finally gets a full story ending and a cinematic ending.

Although the storyline has been completed, Iron Gate Studios has no plans to continue making a sequel. Community surveys show that players prefer to develop existing projects and receive new content, mechanics, and expansions, rather than starting from Part 2. In the meantime, the developers will continue to delight fans with updates, while some team members find ways to work on third-party indie projects like collaborative horror bury and space simulator star road.
