Midea will bring a large number of home appliances to IFA 2026, and will use the Smart Master ecosystem as the main element of the exhibition. It connects home appliances with an artificial intelligence agent that understands voice commands, takes context into account and allows you to control different devices from a single system.
Midea’s AI smart assistant supports 140 languages including Russian, has a recognition distance of up to 8m, and a nominal response time of 0.4s. Air conditioners, refrigerators and ovens have built-in voice interfaces directly, and the system can also be controlled through Midea apps, smart speakers and smartphone voice assistants.
At Midea’s booth, they also showed off their own robots. One handles dishes and dishwasher baskets, another prepares and hands popcorn to visitors, and a bipedal robot greets guests, waves and dances. Midea’s robot is built on the Eagles architecture and uses four multi-modal basic models. The company sees the platform as the basis for future robots that can provide cleaning and laundry services in the kitchen, as well as act as companions and control appliances throughout the home.
A separate area of the exhibition is the AI Ecomaster, which coordinates the operation of connected devices taking energy consumption into account. The system could take solar panel production into account, for example by starting a washing machine or a robot vacuum cleaner during periods of maximum solar power generation.
Midea also displayed a series of air conditioners using R290 refrigerant. According to the manufacturer, the use of new compressor and sealing technologies can increase energy efficiency by approximately 10%. In the heating sector, there is the Arctic S4 split system with R454C refrigerant, which already meets the requirements of the European standards that will come into force in 2027. At IFA, this model also received the Heat Pump Keymark certificate.
In its Visionary range of refrigerators, the company relies on the convenience of its products. GlassVision technology lets you view content through the door without opening it, and SmartSense Light Pro provides automatic lighting.
The InfiniteFit cooktop’s slim design eliminates the need for a front vent, while OmniFlex creates a flexible single cooking area without strict limitations on pot size or location.
In the field of laundry, Midea demonstrated the Omni series of modular systems. It allows you to wash different types of laundry in multiple drums at the same time, and the configuration can be chosen based on the space available and the needs of the household. The range includes Omni Fusion, Omni Duo, Omni Trio and Omni Ped S models, the latter of which also includes a separate shoe cleaning module.
One of the most unusual developments is the GreenApex dishwasher with heat pump. It uses heat from the surrounding air to increase the efficiency of the wash cycle and comes with a heat exchanger of its own design.
Overall, Midea’s booth at IFA 2026 is less a set of individual home appliances than a demonstration of a single smart home concept: AI is supposed to connect devices to each other, manage energy consumption, and gradually move from voice commands to the physical execution of household chores by robots.
