The KyTyPS5 emulator has reached a major milestone in working with one of the PlayStation 5’s key and technically complex exclusives: Bluepoint Games’ Demon’s Souls remaster. If previously the project only initialized the executable and froze on the loading screen and later reached the character creation screen, in the latest version of the emulator the game successfully loads the introductory screensaver, main menu and goes directly to gameplay. Also, the shaders are obviously working fine, so the main issue so far is performance.
The success of “Demon’s Souls”, as well as the recent launch of “GTA V” and the testing of other closed projects, have confirmed that advanced simulation of the PS5 architecture on PC is developing much faster than at the beginning of the PS3/PS4 generation.
How long do you think it will be before we can fully play this project on PC at a better quality than consoles?
