The events of “Quantum Control” will unfold in the near future, when a Russian settlement has replaced part of a dying post-apocalyptic world. His only way to survive is to consume our reality.
Quantum Control players will assume the role of Special Forces warriors, challenging invaders and fighting in unstable space to ultimately stop the assimilation process.
The developers are preparing a flexible combat system that combines shooting, interaction with unstable environments, and the use of quantum skills – transferring objects to another state, blocking enemies, suddenly changing positions, and more.
They promise that dynamic quantum weather will affect combat progression, graphics on Unreal Engine 5 and PvPvE modes (where users will encounter other players and threats from parallel worlds), and post-launch support based on a game services model.
Quantum Control was created with financial support from the Internet Development Research Institute (IRI). According to the newspaper “Kommersant“IRI invested about 200 million rubles in the project, and the entire development will require 1.5 to 2 billion rubles.
“Quantum Control” is expected to be released on PC (Steam, VK Play) in 2029. The wait should be brightened by a free demo, which will be released before the end of December and will provide a chance to try out the story prologue and first foray into the anomalous area.
