The cooperative horror game “Escape Trial” has released version 7.1 update, adding a temporary event “Chemical Leak”, which will last until October 6. During testing, the site will be filled with toxic gases. Players must find valves located throughout the location and close them to clear certain areas. For this event, the developers have prepared their own temporary directory where you can spend special tokens and unlock exclusive rewards. After the event ends, unused tokens will be lost.
Two new MK challenges have also been added to the game. “Change Agenda” requires players to spread Murkoff’s propaganda, while “Fund a Movement” is built around raising money for political campaigns. Both missions take on the familiar form of brutal corporate experimentation from Outlaws .
Notable changes affect “upgrading”, with developers improving the stability of the channel and adding the ability to resume progress after a crash or loss of connection. Starting with the 21st challenge, damage becomes constant throughout the game and resurrection is disabled. “Broken Test Object” has also been removed from the modifier pool.
At the same time, Red Barrels Studio also stopped supporting modifications. The developers explained the decision, saying that certain mods can bring gameplay advantages or change the way the game works in unexpected ways. Popular features that previously required modification are now built into the settings menu. These include a field of view slider, the ability to adjust camera shake, disable motion blur, film grain, chromatic aberration, flare, vignette and other visual effects, as well as hide the interface.
