In big news coming out of today’s Nintendo Direct, September 9th, it was also announced Yo-Kai Watch 2: Haunted Realma new chapter in the famous Level-5 series Shown alongside the first trailer It’s still short, but it’s really promising.
Honestly, considering the team is just reporting “it Development confirmed”, but since we’re talking about Level-5, this is notable news considering the uncertainty that often surrounds studio projects (at least until recently).
In short, it’s clear that the Yo-Kai Watch series is Destined to make a comebackthis appears to be a big-bore chapter being developed for the Nintendo Switch 2, unless other platforms may be announced later.
Looks very interesting at first glance
The trailer for “Yo-Kai Watch 2: Haunted Realm” can be seen below. It doesn’t actually show much yet, but it can give us an idea of how far the series has come in terms of technology since it launched on Nintendo Switch 2.
In the film, we can see the historical protagonists of the series, namely young Nathan, Whisper the elf and Jibanyan the cat, walking on the road at sunset, in a typical Japanese scene.

Therefore, all the typical ingredients of the series seem to be present, which represents one of the greatest successes of Level-5 cross-media experiences, as it achieves excellent results in: Whether it’s in video games or animation.
