A big trailer has been released for the animated series Avatar: Seven Sanctums, which follows an earth mage named Pavel in a world after a horrific disaster in which the Avatar is considered not a savior, but a destroyer.
Paramount still hasn’t released all the episodes in one day — though it’s considering that option — but it’s speeding up the release: Viewers will get to see the first book from October 9 to 30, with three episodes airing every Friday. A second book has also been greenlit; a premiere date will be announced later.
In Avatar: The Seven Sanctums, the young protagonist and Korra’s successor, persecuted by both humans and spirits, must reunite with her twin sister, uncover the secrets of her origins, and save the Seven Sanctuaries before civilization’s last bastion collapses.
Meanwhile, DiMartino and Konietzko have landed a new animated show within their cult universe. By the way, Netflix will release the third and final season of Avatar: The Last Airbender in 2027. Do you think we should expect a sequel to Korra?
