Trump Mobile has quietly raised the price of its first smartphone, the T1, to $749. That’s a significant jump — the device cost $499 when it went on sale, but that was on sale and now adds $250.

This smartphone has no outstanding technical features and the price remains the same as the flagship model. The Trump Mobile is priced at $749 and features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W charging support, and a 50-megapixel camera, all in a gold finish.
The Trump Mobile T1 will initially be priced at $499, and company management has hinted that the cost of the device may rise in the future. All references to “starting price” or “sale price” have now disappeared from the site. The unpopular measure comes at a difficult time – with memory shortages making nearly all consumer electronics more expensive. However, the $749 price tag makes a fairly average smartphone a direct competitor to products from Google, Samsung, and Apple.
Analysis of the device shows that the Trump Mobile T1 has a lot in common with the HTC U24 Pro model, and it is by no means a unique device designed in the United States. Enthusiasts were willing to put up with this when the smartphone cost $499, but now it’s going to be harder to sell.
