Wardogs: Console version coming soon – but the wait is still long

This massive first-person shooter isn’t just going to be a hit on PC, but on consoles as well. The developers have now officially confirmed the planned console version, but it’s still going to be a long time coming.

Shooter fans now have access to an interesting new representative of the genre: Wardogs, the massive first-person game that developer Bulkhead is launching in early access on PC starting today. While PC gamers can play early versions of the game as it continues to be developed, console gamers will be asking themselves one question: What the hell happened to us? Fortunately, for the first time, this question has a concrete answer.

The team has now confirmed via social media that it plans to launch a console version in 2028. Considering that the time window is still far away, we can’t reveal more specific information yet, but the wait is still long enough. The wishlist entry should be available now on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

On the occasion of the Early Access release, CEO Joe Brammer also issued a statement: “Wardogs is ambitious, has rough edges, and has a long way to go, but that’s exactly how Early Access should be. We’re putting the game in the hands of players, listening to their feedback, and taking the risks necessary to make it last. The most important thing to us is that people can go online, listen to their feedback, and take the risks necessary to make it last. What’s most important to us is that people can go online, listen to their feedback, and take the risks necessary to make it last.
