Gears of War: E-Day is less than a month away – the game will be released on October 6th. Coalition and Xbox have unveiled a new ad for Gears of War: E-Day called Adagio. The film is dedicated to Invasion Day, which players will experience in the story campaign. The film was shot in a sombre atmosphere and clearly shows the scale of the disaster.
The soundtrack was composed by Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings and was re-written for the game by Gears of War: E-Day composer Adam Lastivka. The music accompanies footage of the invasion beginning, the city being destroyed, and Marcus Phoenix and Dominic Santiago fighting. In the film’s description, the league notes that it should “Conveying the horror and human cost of Invasion Day”.
Previously, The Coalition had stated that Gears of War: E-Day would have the longest story campaign in the history of the series. It takes over 14 hours to complete. The developers also revealed its differences from previous installments, drawing attention to the presence of additional missions and massive exploration locations.
Gears of War: E-Day will be released exclusively on Xbox Series X | S and PC, with no release planned for other platforms.
