Blizzard announced a new Diablo game at BlizzCon 2026. “Diablo V” is only planned to be released in the spring of 2029, which means there are still about 3 years before it is not delayed. The developers admit that the project is still in its early stages, and support for Diablo IV will continue during development. But you shouldn’t expect any more major DLC for the game.

For Diablo IV, the Blizzard team has successfully released two major new additions – Vessels of Hatred and Lords of Hatred. go through Character As developers, they have both done a great job fleshing out the story and providing players with a lot of new content. But this completes support for Diablo IV’s massive story DLC. In addition, plot plans are revealed through the season system.

The events of Diablo V will take place approximately 100 years after the history of Diablo IV. The developer notes that this makes it possible to develop a new project, but the author does not know exactly how these games in the series will be connected to each other:

Diablo 5 takes place 100 years after everything that happened in Diablo 4, which gives us ample opportunity to continue to keep up with the fans, so to speak, and discuss with them where the story is going as we move toward that goal. So we’re very excited about the opportunity to maintain continuity, but we don’t know exactly how that will work yet because we want to see how the fans respond each season.

Let us remind you that a new season in Diablo IV will begin on September 15th, called “Season of Hell’s Legacy.”
