QNAP system propose “Desktop” form factor hybrid network storage TS-h966TX. The new product features two Thunderbolt 4 ports, allowing you to connect it directly to a workstation running macOS or Windows that supports the corresponding high-speed interface.
The device is based on an unnamed Intel Core i3 processor with six computing cores running at up to 4.4 GHz. The DDR5 RAM capacity is 8 GB in the base configuration and 64 GB in the maximum configuration (2 × 32 GB SO-DIMM).
A total of 9 front drive bays are provided: 5 LFF/SFF size products with SATA-3 interface can be installed, and 4 SFF U.2 SSD (PCIe/NVMe). In all cases, hot plugging is allowed. In addition to the two Thunderbolt 4 ports, there are 1 2.5GbE RJ45 and 10GbE RJ45 network interfaces, 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 3.1 Type-A ports (one on the front panel), and 1 HDMI Hz that supports 4K video formats (up to 60 Hz).

The NAS measures 182.7 × 224.6 × 223.6 mm and weighs 3.57 kg. Operating temperature range – from 0 to +40 °C. The device receives power from a 150 W network adapter. Use the proprietary operating system QTS 5.2.9 based on the ZFS file system as the software platform. The warranty period for new products is three years, which can be extended to five years.
