Justin Marks, the creator of the historical drama “General”, has announced that filming for the second season has been completed. The show lasted nearly 200 days and started filming in Vancouver in February. The production process required great attention to the details of 17th century Japanese culture.
Hiroyuki Sanada and Cosmo Jarvis will return to their roles in the sequel, which will once again focus on the fate of the British navigator John Blackthorn against the backdrop of the fierce civil war. Let us remind you that the first season set an incredibly high standard of quality by sweeping 18 Emmy Awards, and the sequel is tentatively scheduled for release in 2027.
