U.S. President and House Speaker Mike Johnson has opposed any restrictions, saying artificial intelligence is an important geopolitical bet that China cannot afford to lose. Trump believes that such warnings come from “negative forces” and describe threats that do not exist. Any hasty regulatory laws can only deprive the United States of its global technological leadership.
