Valorant: Version 13.06 brings new game modes and other innovations

Riot Games has introduced new features in the 13.06 patch of the Valorant Developer Update. Fans of online shooters can look forward to an experimental new game mode.

In the new 13.06 update, Riot Games plans to introduce various innovations to the online shooter Valorant, which have now been introduced in more detail in the developer update. In addition, there are new game modes, new automatic rifles, a revised agent mastering system, advancements in competitive areas, and more.

The experimental new game mode is “Gauntlet: Glitched”. Here you can assemble your own hybrid bot agent from a library of randomly generated skills. The eight teams then compete in teams of two each in a tournament round robin until only one team remains. Selected skills can be developed further in the game, meaning there will be a separate build for each game. Unexpected failures can significantly alter capabilities.

The new assault rifle is the Warden, which joins the Vandal and Phantom in expanding the automatic rifle category. This is designed to provide stronger targeting options and more flexibility in buying rounds. Due to its high damage value, it is said to be particularly suitable for longer sight lines.

The new Agent Mastery system is designed to reward future playtime and performance, and replaces previous Agent gear. Progress is directly related to preferred agent usage and performance. There are also new mastery rewards like portraits, icons, frames, and more.

In addition to quality-of-life improvements, you can also expect updates to Ranked Mode, as the competitive progression system is receiving a number of improvements designed to more clearly highlight success. Rated Flex will also launch in early 2027 and will continue to evolve throughout the year, unlocking additional upgrades for each act.
