Bond fans on Nintendo Switch 2 will have to wait a little longer than initially expected. As the New Year of 2027 approaches, the popular action film “Twilight” will be released on Nintendo consoles soon.
The hugely successful Dawn of Dawn is known to be available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but is also firmly planned for Nintendo Switch 2. This version of the game was originally slated for a summer 2026 release, but that’s essentially over now. It will be a long time before games are released for Nintendo consoles – and unfortunately, it’s going to take even longer.
Now developer IO Interactive has publicly stated that “Dawn of Dawn” will be extended on Nintendo Switch 2. Anyone hoping this was just a shorter delay will be disappointed, as the game will slide straight into the new year of 2027. Officials stated that the new release date for this implementation is March 2027, so the game will arrive on the platform more than half a year later than originally planned.
Today we would like to provide an update for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Dawn of 007. We know many of you have been looking forward to experiencing Bond’s reimagined origin story on Nintendo Switch 2, and we’re very grateful for your enthusiasm. To ensure that we deliver the quality of experience that players expect, we have decided to postpone the release to March 2027, with a specific date to be announced later. The additional time will be used to perfect the performance of Nintendo Switch 2 games. We’re really excited about the positive feedback for Dawn of the Dead at Gamescom, which is a great sign of the progress the game as a whole is making as we get closer to release. The same demo will launch this week at Tokyo Game Show, so if you want to get your hands on it, join us. We will share further updates as soon as they are ready. Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. #007FirstLight #EarnTheNumber
