Developers at Active Matter have held a new Q&A session and clarified contentious issues surrounding coordination loops. Players are told how to earn Merits, why wipes are required, and why some rewards from the second cycle will never come back.
Rewards will be awarded for daily missions “Priority Raid” and increasing boulder levels, but only during active coordination cycles. If you upgrade your boulder between cycles, rewards will not be awarded retroactively. When the merit limit is full, you can only exceed it once, after which the excess points will be destroyed.
In order to replay the Monolith’s progress and gain new advantages, erasure must be performed, and this can only be accomplished by creating a new timeline. Global progress rewards are unlocked after completing the Monolith Gate or as the cycle progresses, while cycle product rewards are purchased through merit.
The developers pay special attention to exclusive items: if the reward for a new bike says “Exclusive”, then you will not be able to get it later. Due to system improvements, the first cycle ended a few days earlier, but its rewards can still be obtained through merit. In the future, the team plans to minimize pauses between cycles so that players don’t have to wait for the next chance to earn points.
