The Moscow Automobile Factory has begun mass production of the first batch of all-Russian Atom electric cars. The production line has a production capacity of up to 20 vehicles per shift. Mass production of the cars began this year; the first customers have already started receiving Atoms.

The full-cycle production line at the Moscow factory was launched with the support of the Moscow government and includes welding, painting, anti-corrosion treatment, assembly of finished electric vehicles and calibration of electronic equipment. The same company organized the testing and final quality control phases of Atoms.
The first domestic electric vehicle “Atom” is built based on its own modular platform; design features include the elimination of the center pillar of the body and the hinge door opening mechanism. The car has a display on the steering wheel, a projection screen on the windshield, a built-in voice assistant and integration with smartphones – some functions can be controlled through gadgets.
After the battery is fully charged, the Atom has a cruising range of up to 500 kilometers; it only takes 7 seconds to accelerate from 100 kilometers to 100 kilometers, and it can drive comfortably in urban traffic conditions. There is a driver assistance system that contributes to driving safety. Taking into account the particularity of the Russian climate, the power battery is equipped with a thermal control system, and the steering wheel, windows, rearview mirrors, fuel injectors and windshield wiper areas are also equipped with heating devices.
