Xbox and Activision are preparing for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which will be released on October 23, 2026 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and PC. The developers decided to remind us what usually happens in this shooter sub-series, and they released a video recapping the events of the first three installments of the series.
The film showcases the main characters of the trilogy – Captain Price, General Shepard, Makarov and other heroes. The author reviews the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Modern Warfare II (2022), and Modern Warfare III (2023) – all of which are now available on Game Pass. “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” will continue the events of “Modern Warfare III”. After the death of a key ally in Task Force 141, Captain Price continues to pursue Makarov outside of official institutions. At the same time, North Korea began a full-scale invasion of the Korean Peninsula. Players will see the story of young Korean soldiers, and Price’s plot will gradually intersect with current events.
However, the campaign in Modern Warfare 4 is not limited to South Korea. The developer has confirmed that the event will also take place in Paris, New York, and other locations around the world.
