Bose has announced its second-generation wireless earbuds, the Ultra Open Earbuds, with a slightly redesigned design, improved sound quality, and longer battery life. In addition, Bose Sport open earbuds have been launched to provide a safer and more stable wearing experience during fitness or outdoor activities.

The company says the second-generation Bose Ultra Open earbuds, like their predecessors, use over-the-ear headphones with drivers that direct sound into the outer ear canal while “minimizing sound leakage.” Due to the open design, there is no active noise cancellation system.
The new product also features new drivers that provide higher volume and auto-adjustment capabilities as well as deeper bass.
The new Theater mode uses Bose TrueSpatial technology to simulate a “wider, more spacious soundstage” while ensuring dialogue is clear and centered.
The battery life of the second-generation Ultra Open headphones has been extended to 9 hours, up from 7.5 hours in the previous version. Taking into account the use of the charging case, the listening time increases to 19.5 hours. The updated case supports wireless charging and can be mounted vertically.
The second-generation Bose Ultra Open earbuds will be available for pre-order on September 19th for $299 and will go on sale on October 1st. This device is available in the following colors: black, smoke white, cherry chocolate, olive green and sky pink.
The Bose Sport Open Earbuds have a similar design, but have thinner tips and a “soft silicone matte finish” for a tighter fit and hold during runs and workouts.
The ability to automatically adjust the volume based on ambient noise levels keeps you from drowning out the sounds you’re playing. Customizable shortcut buttons on each earbud are textured to make them easy to find during your workout. The battery life is up to 7 hours, which can be extended to 22 hours with the wireless charging case.
The Bose Sport open-back earbuds will be available for pre-order on September 19th for $199 and are available in black, smoke white, and eucalyptus green. The new product will be launched on October 1st.
