MediaTek has re-released last year’s flagship Dimensity 9500 as the Dimensity 9600M

MediaTek previously released flagship mobile processors Dimensity 9600 Pro, but now it turns out that this is not the only new product from the Taiwanese company. She is also prepared Dimensity 9600M – It will bring new software and artificial intelligence capabilities to a wider range of flagship smartphones.

From a technical perspective, the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M is essentially an updated version of last year’s Dimensity 9500 – it’s built using TSMC’s N3P 3nm process technology and incorporates the same components. The CPU contains only high-performance cores, including the main Arm C1-Ultra with a maximum clock speed of 4.21 GHz. The same applies to the Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 graphics subsystem and APU 990 NPU neural processor – there are no changes to them.

At the same time, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600M mobile chip has gained support for the manufacturer’s latest technologies: Agentic AI Engine and Dimensity Scheduling Engine – which will help it expand its capabilities when performing AI-related tasks. The first Dimensity 9600M-based devices will be available before the end of this quarter; the Vivo X500 and Oppo Find X10 are expected to be among them.
