Conan Exiles has received a major technical update, 2.2.0, which brings the game to Unreal Engine 5.8.2 and adds Iris networking technology. The adventure continues with a new installment of Legacy of the Giant King on October 6th.

The main changes in this patch are the transition to new versions of the engine and Iris, which should reduce the load on dedicated servers. According to the developers, server latency after the update is about half of what it was before. Under the old online system, load increased as the number of players increased, with a full server taking eight times as long to complete the same job. At the same time, updates forced mods to be reassembled, so some of them were temporarily deemed obsolete.

Legacy of the Giant King: Part 2, the second chapter of a new four-part storyline, will launch on October 6th. Mysterious rifts continue to appear in the Exiled Lands, bringing new mysteries and challenges, including the Isle of Siptah.
