Howling Waves is finally getting a feature fans of the game have been asking for for a long time – with the release of version 3.7, the developers will be adding the ability to replay completed main story missions. The updates for “Prism Illusion” and “Illumination of the Heart” will be released on September 30. Initially, the replay mode system will allow you to return to story mission versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3. Moreover, with them, you can re-watch the content of Chasing the Moon Festival. Progress for a single game is automatically saved, so you don’t have to relive old adventures all at once.
At the same time, version 3.7 will bring two new characters – Xin and Suoming, a new simulacra node in the Mengzhou area, five echoes and several new sonata effects. The developers will finally bring order to the inventory, too – identical unequipped and unimproved Echos will now automatically stack into stacks of up to 999 pieces.
The in-game camera will also get a selfie mode, more photo settings, and even a freer “drone” perspective. It seems Kuro believes players should not only save Solaris-3, but also take proper photos. By the way, here’s a promo from the demo:
