Shortly after the 40th anniversary, it seemed that quietly, Nintendo has modified IL official logo of Super Marioa slight 3D style modification to the featured writing.
New versions can be found at Super Mario official websitebasically continuing the previous style, but with new changes 3D stylization This seems to give the writing a greater depth, as if it emerges more clearly from the background.
If you directly compare the new text with the previous text, you will notice the difference, as shown in the image below.
A sign pointing to a new chapter?
Until a few days ago, the Super Mario logo basically remained No changes since 2011which was revised for the first time since the 1990s, but still maintains a very similar design to the text used on the cover of Super Nintendo’s Super Mario World.
Basically, the first version of the logo characterized by this style was used from 1996 to 2011, with slight modifications in the font shape and color distribution. The 2011 version has carried over into this year, but seems to have changed in recent days.

During the anniversary celebration, Nintendo launched the “Super Mario Galaxy” movie, the “Super Mario Galaxy 1+2” series, new amiibo, “Mario Tennis Mania”, and expansion packs for “Super Mario Bros. Miracle and Yoshi and the Book of Mysteries”, but the much-anticipated new chapter of the main series was not announced.
Considering it’s been nearly a decade since the release of Super Mario Odyssey, this remains one of the main priorities for fans to look forward to: Will the logo change be a precursor to possible new features for the Nintendo series? It’s hard to say at the moment. At least, Mario Kart World got a free update with 10 classic tracks a few days ago.
