Eleventh Hour Games studio has released the first full trailer and launched a special mini-site dedicated to the fifth season of “Last Age” called “Frostfall’s Wrath”. The major update is scheduled to be released on October 1st, which will not only bring a lot of new content to the game, but also make important personnel changes in the development team.

In addition to the game’s innovations, the studio also made an important announcement: Mike Weicker will officially succeed Judd Kobler as Last Epoch’s game director.

All the carnage caused by the players during their wanderings in Etera has not disappeared without a trace. Blood and cruelty nourish the demigod of murder Moditus. Moditus is freed from the prison his father Hiorot put in, seeking revenge and becoming the new end-game boss of the season.

The seasonal mechanic is called “Wrath of Moditas.” Players will use special frozen blood crystals to tap into the demigod’s power and “perform cruel sacrifices in his name.”

In Season 5, the hero’s arsenal will be replenished with new skills, expanding the building possibilities:

  • Summon Tidal Elemental for Shaman: Summons a water minion that will fight alongside you using cold spells and various damage conversions.
  • Sword Dancer Dream Slash: A skill that instantly closes the distance to the enemy and delivers a quick strike. If you combine this with the shadow mechanic, the damage becomes truly devastating.
  • Paladin’s Radiant Lance: The hero fills his shield with light and unleashes a powerful beam of justice that pierces enemies. For those who like to experiment, there is another “darker” development option for this skill.

As the season begins, 18 new unique items and set items will appear in the game. The team at Eleventh Hour Games is individually showing off some “extremely rare and unique features” to players that, in their words, will “change the way you play in levels you’ve never seen in a game before.”

opening minisite Releasing the trailer is just the beginning. Next week, the developers will kick off “Hype Week,” during which they will reveal new details every day until October 1, when the season officially begins.
