In the 18.0 update for MMORPG Allods Online, priests will receive major changes in all three areas. The class is still one of the easiest to master, but the developers want to eliminate its major issues, such as damage and the need for individual characters.
On the assault side, the developers will increase the Priest’s damage to the level of other combat classes. Purifying Fire will become less time-consuming, Blind will gain greater range, and Fury will begin to restore Faith and reduce the cooldown of Discharge. Additionally, Thunderbolt increases damage over time as it is discharged, which will no longer consume Zeal. For melee combat, the changes will be milder: Judgment will take additional minor damage on subsequent attacks.
But support is facing a more serious shakeup. Today, few people choose this role, so expanded capabilities for group control, cleansing, and assistance will be added. The new “Rescue Punishment” will allow you to use Priest’s damage to heal the most injured allies, “Guard” will guarantee the removal of negative effects, and other milestones will enhance control and support. At the same time, the damage in this area should be kept lower than that of a mature warrior and compensated through unique effects.
With Aspects of Healing, the developers decided not to touch on well-functioning shields and instead focus on direct healing. Self-Sacrifice will have a faster cooldown, roots will no longer require preparation, and new effects will enhance devotion, aura, and overall healing. All of these changes will appear in the 18.0 update, after which the developers promise to continue balancing based on player feedback.
