It seems that while FromSoftware is busy with other projects, modders are getting more and more supportive of Elden Ring Nightreign. Enthusiast Doneda brings Eleum Loyce from Frozen and the icy suburbia from Dark Souls 2 to the game.

The new map exists as a separate location and is already available for download. Doneda retains Syracuse’s iconic architecture and spacious suburbs, perfect for the nighttime format. Additionally, the second area of the shrinking circle now leads players to the underground arena where they fought the Gray Tusk King in the original game. As it turns out, it’s not just about relocating an old location, but rethinking it within the mechanics of Nightwalker.

To run, you need Mod Engine 3 – the tool required for most game mods. Doneda himself is already well-known among Dark Souls 2 fans: he previously restored the sewer map that was cut from the game, and now, he seems determined to continue experimenting with FromSoftware’s legacy.

Official support for Nightreign is fading away, but modders are clearly not leaving. In addition to the new maps, seamless co-op and weapons from other FromSoftware projects are also present in the game. So it’s likely that life at Nightreign will continue through the community after development is completed.
