The cooperative action horror game “CODE EXIT” is accepting applications for new game testing on Steam. Testing is scheduled to begin on September 28, 2026, and access will be allocated in batches.
The main goal of the September playtest is to evaluate improvements after the May test. Among the major changes, the developers highlight:
- Changed the structure of the passages – if previously the game was divided into three stages and had a repeating sequence of stages, now the entire passage is merged into one stage and the position of the stages changes at each start.
- These missions are combined into a system that should clearly reveal further objectives while creating the conditions for more natural interaction between players.
- The detection system has been redesigned so that players can understand the reasons for their mistakes.
The developers note that these changes affect the main structure of CODE EXIT rather than individual elements of the demo. The new playtest will be the first opportunity to try out the redesigned version of the game, and detailed patch notes describing the changes will be released the day the playtest begins.
