LG Display has developed a 24.5-inch OLED panel for gaming monitors that supports a 720Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer notes that this matrix is specifically designed for esports events, where a high refresh rate is of utmost importance.

The 24.5-inch panel launched by LG Display has the highest update rate and the shortest response time of 0.02 milliseconds among OLED displays. Resolution – Esports Full HD standard (1920 × 1080 pixels). To achieve this combination of features, manufacturers use “Comprehensive solution covering all stages – from panel design to control system”.
The first monitor to use LG Display’s new 720Hz OLED panel is ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace. This model has been selected as the official monitor for the upcoming PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026 tournament – one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of the year. The monitor also has a position sensor that measures the height, tilt, and rotation of the monitor and then displays these values on the screen. This allows professional gamers to quickly and easily recreate the same monitor position when switching between systems.
