New trailer for Thief: The Dark Project Remastered shows off improved gameplay and plenty of theft

A new game was launched at the PC Gaming Show held on the occasion of Tokyo Game Show 2026 Game trailer of Thief: Dark Plan Remastered Editionwhich shows the game in action in fully restored form. Developed using Nightdive’s proprietary engine, the KEX Engine, the reprint combines content from the base game and content from the Thief Gold update released in 1999 into a single solution. The storyline centers on Garrett, an orphan who was raised by the ancient Order of the Watch and trained to be a master thief. Moving through complex levels with a non-linear structure, the player must use his device to Steal treasures and achieve different goalsto minimize casualties. The presence of three difficulty levels directly changes the objectives of each mission, helping to extend lifespan.

On the technical side, Nightdive enables resolutions up to 4K and Frame rate 120 FPS. There are also many updates designed to modernize the fun of the game. These include the introduction of a wheel for quickly selecting weapons and items, a selector for replaying single missions, and full support for current controllers, including vibration and gyroscopic aiming.

The package is completed by adding objectives, a gallery containing working materials and development background, as well as aspects specifically related to the title.
