Metroidvania: Tears of the Fallen: Ascension has exited Early Access and completed Sheila’s story

Metroidvania: Tears of the Fallen: Ascension has been officially released after months of being in early access. Version 1.0 is already available steam 675 rubles, taking into account the 10% starting discount. This update concludes Sheila’s story and significantly expands the content. Unfortunately, support for Russian was never added.

The amount of content has roughly doubled compared to the original Early Access release. The game features 10 large interconnected areas, 5 new main bosses, and 16 additional bosses. The Fated Bonds system has been expanded with 11 additional allies, each with their own abilities and storylines.

Sheila’s development also continued to expand. 3 new boost skills, 6 hunter skills, 4 elemental buffs, and 16 level 3 and 4 mastery skills have been added to the game. The main story will take approximately 35-40 hours to complete, and the full story will take over 80 hours to complete.

“Fallen Tear: The Ascension has grown tremendously thanks to the support and feedback from the Early Access community,” said Steven Manalastas, creative director at Winter Crew Studios. “Their feedback has helped us refine the combat, deepen the Fated Bonds system, and shape the adventure we want to offer players. Now that the story is complete, we’re excited to build out the world’s characters.”

The story of “Crying: Ascension” takes place in the fantasy world of Raa, where the mysterious girl Sheila must face an ancient god. The basis of the adventure is the Destiny Bonds system, through which the heroine establishes relationships with her allies. Each such character offers new combat abilities and movement opportunities, so the composition of your allies affects not only the plot, but also exploration and combat of the world.

The combat system is based around quick attacks, parries, and dodges, with power-ups and hunter tree abilities letting you change your strategy mid-battle. The game also offers multiple ending options, depending on relationships with allies and decisions made during the adventure. An important part of the world is the Temple of Orath, which serves as Sheila’s personal base and gradually becomes populated by the characters she encounters.
