Microsoft announced last week its plans to leave Game Pass at the end of September. The official Xbox Wire blog stated that 8 games will be removed from the service. The same message also appears in the Game Pass app. But now things have changed.
If nothing changes from last week’s Xbox Wire post, SOPA’s Stolen Potato Story has been removed from the list of items to be removed from the Game Pass app. Microsoft has yet to officially confirm anywhere that the project is no longer at risk of being excluded. But it’s happened before: items announced to be released from Game Pass suddenly no longer do so and remain on the service.
Now, the list of games that will be removed from Game Pass at the end of September is as follows:
- Atomic Fall (Xbox, PC)
- Lara Croft and the Keeper of Light (Xbox, PC)
- Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition (Xbox, PC)
- Little Rocket Lab (Xbox, PC)
- Master (Xbox, PC)
- Oath (Xbox, PC)
- Terminal Brigade (Xbox, PC)
“SOPA Stolen Potato Story” was released exactly one year ago, in September 2025. This is a story-driven adventure game in the “Spirit of Miyazaki”. Although the number is small, it has received praise from players. At the same time, the project has attracted the attention of many critics – it even won several awards at this year’s Spanish festivals and exhibitions.
