The anime adaptation of the video game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice now also has a specific release month. This is understood to have been shown on Crunchyroll.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is one of the many great video games from From Software – and as we all know, it’s now being turned into an anime series on Crunchyroll. The game, called Sekiro: Undefeated, has missed its release month.
The series comes from Kadokawa, Qzil.la and ARCH and will be available on Crunchyroll in January 2027. Only Japan, China, South Korea, Russia and Belarus will not be broadcast.
The series aims to retell the game’s story while maintaining the authenticity of the original. So you can expect a story about loyalty, blood, and sacrifice set in Sengoku-era Japan.
The series premiered with a total of eight episodes. These will also provide additional content beyond the theatrical version currently showing in Japan.
