Riot Games has released update 13.06 for team-based shooter VALORANT, which significantly improves Riot’s voice rating system.
The tool learned to more effectively identify toxic players who communicated in Spanish, Portuguese and Korean. Studio representatives promised to introduce support for the new language in the coming months to combat insults and threats during games.
The developers stress that light-hearted competitive humor will not be prohibited if the technology involves gameplay rather than the opponent’s personality. At the same time, offenders will also be duly punished for personal attacks, threats and discrimination. The author recalls that the system was used in conjunction with in-game user complaints as part of an overall strategy to improve the community atmosphere.
