The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has issued a draft order on the imposition of technical fees on multiple categories of radioelectronic products, which will enter into force on December 1, 2026.
The pilot project includes laptops, tablets, smartphones and regular phones. The basic payment rate is 37 to 746 rubles per unit of goods, depending on the specific type of equipment.
The amount of the fee will vary based on the availability of brand and model information in the national mandatory labeling system. The department stressed that when calculating rates, the need to maintain the supply of goods in part of the market budget is taken into account to avoid sharp price increases for end consumers.
