NC Company announced a major update to the global version of MMORPG AION, AION Reforged. This update will be released on October 20, 2026, and will open new Atreia servers with various changes to progression, gameplay, and content. The update was previously released in South Korea under the name AION Remake.
The new server has an auto-battle feature that allows you to automate battles without manual control. The numbers, basic skills, and combat patterns of all 13 professions have been changed. The developers have also increased the importance of shame in character development and tied wings more closely to the combat system.
The Standard set is now designed for four players, and locations and dungeons familiar to fans of the original Aion, including the Temple of Fire, Draupnir’s Caves, and the Dread City, will return as part of the new progression system. Additionally, players no longer lose Abyss points when they die in PvP, and the points themselves can be used in certain crafting systems. The rift has been preserved, so the confrontation between the Aerys and the Asmodeans will remain one of the core components of the game.
Crafting and item handling have been redesigned, and the account development system has been expanded. Some equipment, stigmas, wings, and titles have been made more convenient for use by multiple characters on the same account.
