Huang harshly criticized Nobel laureate Jeffrey Hinton’s assessment of the likelihood of social collapse, saying scientific evidence did not disprove the speculation. Nvidia leaders insist that safety is an engineering matter: laboratories should not be releasing crude products, and real harm caused should be subject to civil and criminal liability, rather than looking for legal loopholes. At the same time, he emphasized that only certain daily tasks are automated, not career goals, which in the future will lead to the creation of new industries.
