A video has surfaced online showing off the animations and combat mechanics of the new world boss, and according to leaks, it will appear on Genshin Impact Version 7.2. The footage was posted by a Seele insider; the publication itself on Reddit is marked as “reliable,” but we’re still talking about material from the game’s beta.
The exact name of the enemy is unclear, but it appears to be a giant humanoid whale wielding a massive anchor as a weapon. In his normal state, he unleashes slow, sweeping attacks that deal physical damage, but after drinking a barrel of alcohol, the boss enters an enhanced state – his attacks become faster and deal water damage.
Also, apparently, it can exit enhanced mode by applying an electrical attack or invoking a star guide reaction. The boss immediately stopped attacking, then fell to the ground, dazed for several seconds – this was the time when the maximum damage could be done to him.
