Kakao Games and XL Games studios shared the development details of ArcheAge S: Free Strait for the first time and showed the developer’s detailed film diary. The project was created under the leadership of series veteran Kim Kyung-tae to rethink the idea of the cult original game in a modern reality, offering players an isometric view and deeply integrated mechanics.

The main focus of the documentary is to showcase gameplay and discuss the synergy of peace and combat. The authors work hard to ensure that player decisions in upgrading, crafting, gathering, and trading directly drive the economy and influence future large-scale PvP events and large-scale naval battles. At the same time, the personal housing system is designed to protect users from harsh land-grabbing tactics, and the rotation of server matches does not allow individual guilds to maintain a monopoly of power.

The atmosphere of this project is once again in charge of composer Yun Sang, who is familiar to fans, and he has prepared music that emphasizes the contrast between the peaceful romance of the high seas and the brutal tension of battle.

ArcheAge S: Free Strait is planned to be released on PC in Season 2 of 2027.
