The enthusiast announced the first successful launch of PlayStation 5 games on regular PCs without the use of emulators or intermediate translation layers. For this purpose, the AnyPS5 project that the developers talked about before was used. The demo shows the game running directly on Windows hardware, although this is still an experimental solution.
According to the developers, the project successfully transitioned from the main menu to gameplay, and the music and sound effects also played a role. Supports keyboard, mouse and game controller. On a system with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D and a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, 4K frame rates were around 55-60 FPS indoors and 30-35 FPS outdoors.
So far, the results have only been tested on one version of the game – PPSA15552 (the Return to Castlevania version), but this is already an important step in developing new software to release PS5 exclusive games natively on PC.
