Dune: Awakening has begun testing patch 1.5.15.0, which is available on the public test server. The main change is the ability to run the game without the BattlEye anti-cheat feature, but only if its use is not needed.

The developers allow BattlEye to be deactivated in single-player mode and on private and self-hosted servers without forcing anti-cheat. When you try to connect to a regular multiplayer server using such a client, an error will appear – BattlEye is still required. At the same time, the team continues to work on the stability of the game and servers.

The behavior of flight equipment has also changed. The speed loss of a Scout Ornithopter with the missile module installed has been reduced from 20% to 10%. The final value has not yet been determined: the developers will further test the balance of Scout and Assault Ornithopter on PTC. Also fixed a bug that could cause the game to crash when placing a large base using the base rebuild tool.

Finally, new players will have an easier time adapting to the combat system: Enemies protected in the initial tutorial will now wait longer before retaliating when presented with an opportunity to deal a critical hit. The patch also fixes some issues with completing story missions and journeys.
